Primary Levels
Ages 3-6
Primary Combination 1 Class
(Ages 3.5-5)
This class will have ballet and tap. While enjoying classical music, students will learn the basic ballet positions, ballet class etiquette, and pantomime. The students will also learn rhythm, basic tap steps, and how to make clear sounds. Creative movement, make believe, and musicality is the emphasis in this class.
Primary Combination 2 Class
(Ages 5-6)
This class will have ballet and tap. While enjoying classical music, students will learn the basic ballet positions, ballet class etiquette, and pantomime. Primary Combination 1 With AcroDance
(Ages 3.5-5)
This class will have ballet and introduction to AcroDance. While enjoying classical music, students will learn the basic ballet positions, ballet class etiquette, and pantomime. The students will also learn basic stretching, conditioning, and tumbling. Creative movement, make believe, and musicality is the emphasis in this class.
Primary Combination 2 With AcroDance
(Ages 5-6)
This class will have ballet and introduction to AcroDance. While enjoying classical music, students will learn the basic ballet positions, ballet class etiquette, and pantomime. The students will also learn basic stretching, conditioning, and tumbling. Creative movement, make believe, and musicality is the emphasis in this class.
Primary Combination Classes with Jazz
This class will have ballet and introduction to Jazz Dance. While enjoying classical music, students will learn the basic ballet positions, ballet class etiquette, and pantomime. The students will also learn basic stretching, conditioning, and isolations. Creative movement, make believe, and musicality is the emphasis in this class.
AcroDance Levels
Ages 6+
AcroDance Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3
(ages 6 plus)
This class is a style of dance that utilizes contortion, tumbling and strength skills. We will focus on stretching, conditioning and start with basic tumbling skills. Dancers is this class must also be enrolled in a Ballet Class for AcroDance 2 and 3, and a Ballet OR a Jazz Class for AcroDance 1.
Lyrical/Contemporary Levels
Ages 7+
Level 1 Lyrical/Contemporary
This class is only for dancers that are taking at least 2 classes a week, and are enrolled in or have completed Ballet 1. In this class we will learn combinations that will use your ballet technique, jazz athleticism, and musicality. Lyrical dancing is performed to music with lyrics, it is expressive, and fluid. It is faster than ballet, slower than jazz.
Level 2 Lyrical/Contemporary
This class is only for dancers that are taking at least 3 classes a week, and are enrolled in or have completed Ballet 3. In this class we will learn combinations that will use your ballet technique, jazz athleticism, and musicality. Lyrical dancing is performed to music with lyrics, it is expressive, and fluid. Level 3 Lyrical/Contemporary
This class is only for dancers that are taking at least 4 classes a week, and are enrolled in or have completed Ballet 4. Turns and Leaps Levels
Ages 8+
Turns and Leaps 1
This class is for the dancer that is taking at least 2 other classes a week, including a Ballet Class, and are enrolled in or have completed Jazz 2. We will focus on more complicated turn and leap combinations.
Turns and Leaps 2
This class is for the dancer that is taking at least 3 other classes a week, including a Ballet Class, and has completed Jazz 3 and are enrolled in or have completed Ballet 4. We will focus on more complicated turn and leap combinations.
Turns and Leaps 3
This class is for the dancer that is taking at least 4 other classes a week, including a Ballet Class, and has completed Jazz 3 and are enrolled in or have completed Ballet 5. We will focus on more complicated turn and leap combinations.
Level 1 (Must be in First Grade or Higher)
Ages 6+
Level 1 Ballet
These students begin to experience traditionally constructed classes beginning with barre work, center work, as well as the education on technique, discipline of ballet, artistry, and vocabulary.
Level 1 Jazz
Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance techniques such as isolations of the body, performance quality, and rhythm. Students will be exposed to different styles of jazz including Broadway and contemporary.
Level 1 Tap
The students will develop rhythm, style, and sound. Tap classes will offer a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap.
Level 1 Hip-Hop
Hip-Hop is a high-energy class that infuses the styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking.
Level 2
Ages 7+
Level 2 Ballet
Students expand their understanding of artistry,
technique and continue to develop proper alignment and strength. This class is for students that have completed Level 1.
Level 2 Jazz
Students will continue to work on isolations of the body, performance quality, and rhythm. This class is for students that have completed Level 1.
Level 2 Tap
Students will continue to develop rhythm, style, and sound. This class is for students that have completed Level 1.
Level 2 Hip-Hop
Students will continue to build stamina and style in this high-energy class. This class is for students that have completed Level 1.
Level 3
Ages 8+
Level 3 Ballet
Students will continue to gain strength, proper alignment, and begin preparation exercises for pointe work. Students must have completed Level 2.
Level 3 Jazz
Students will learn longer and more complex combinations, and develop more strength and flexibility. For students that have completed Level 2.
Level 3 Tap
Students will deepen their understanding of rhythm and timing, clear sounds, and different styles of tap. For students that have completed Level 2.
Level 3 Hip-Hop
Students will learn more complicated and intricate high-energy movement. For students that have completed Level 2.
Level 4-8
Ages 10+
These are the intermediate and advanced level classes. We offer Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary and Hip-Hop. Students will be placed in these classes after a placement class to ensure we are putting dancers in the correct level for their success.
Ballet 4
Students will continue to gain strength, proper alignment, and begin preparation exercises for pointe work. The dancers get their Demi-Pointe shoes in this class and are expected to take at least 2 Ballet Classes a week. Students must have completed Level 3. It is not unusual to repeat this class.
Ballet 5
Students will continue to gain strength, proper alignment, and begin Pointe exercises. The dancers have earned their Pointe Shoes and are expected to take at least 2 Ballet Classes a week. Students must have completed Level 4 and must have proper alignment, technical ability, and strength to get their Pointe Shoes. It is not unusual to repeat this class.
Ballet 6
Students will continue to strengthen their technique and will learn classical variations and more complicated combinations. Dancers are expected to take Ballet Class 3 times a week.
Ballet 7,8,9
Students will continue to strengthen their technique and will learn classical variations and more complicated combinations. Dancers are expected to take Ballet Class 3 times a week.
Teen Intro Classes
Ages 11-15
Teen Hip-Hop
Hip-Hop is a high-energy class that fuses the styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking.
Beginner Ballet
This class is designed for tweens and teens that are just starting ballet! We have a traditionally constructed class that begins with barre work, center work, as well as the education on technique, discipline of ballet, artistry, and vocabulary.
Adult Classes
Ages 15-adult
Adult Ballet
Students will learn proper technique and alignment in addition to the basic ballet positions, port de bras, vocabulary, and etiquette. Every muscle will be used in this class.
Cardio Ballet Barre
This class was created to work your entire body in an hour. It is a similar class every week, the student can work on perfecting their technique and pushing themselves to the max. The class has a ballet barre but infuses lunges, squats, push ups, and other moves that use your own bodyweight.
Adult Tap
Students will develop rhythm, style, and clear sounds while learning a variety of tap styles including Rhythm and Broadway tap and while getting a great workout.
Adult Hip-Hop
Students will get a great workout with this high-energy class! In this class you will learn basic hip-hop steps that infuse street dance, breaking, popping, and locking.
